How to export an STL file from Fusion?

Solution:

There are a couple of different ways to export an STL/3MF file from Fusion:

Save file as Mesh.

To quickly export an STL/3MF, perform the following:
  1. Right-click the component, component group, or body in the model Browser tree (left panel). 
  2. Select Save As Mesh. 
Export from right click in Fusion
  1. Select the Format that you would like to save. 
Choose Format
  1. Click OK. 

Use the 3D print command.

To use the 3D Print command, perform the following:
  1. Navigate to the Tools tab in the toolbar. 
  2. Click 3D Print from the Make menu. 
  3. Select the bodies that you want to export. 
  4. Deselect the option to Send to 3D Print Utility.
  5. Click OK. 
Export by printing
Note: If the OK button becomes un-selectable after deselecting the Send to 3D Print Utility option (as seen in the picture above), the geometry has to be selected again. To do this, click the mouse button next to "Selection" in the 3D Print dialog box and reselect the geometry that you wish to export. The OK button will then appear.

Use the Export function.

For files without configurations:
  1. Click File. 
  2. Click Export.
  3. Select STL as the file type. 
  4. Click Export. The file will go through cloud translation here. 
Standard export options in Fusion

For configured files:

  1. Click File. 
  2. Click Export.
  3. In the first tab, switch to Active Configuration.
  4. Select STL as the file type. 
  5. Click Export. The file will go through cloud translation here. 
Export configurations

Use Fusion Team on the web.

Follow the steps:
  1. Navigate to the file in the portal.
  2. Click the export option (down arrow icon).
  3. Select STL as the file type.
  4. The file will be sent to you via email.
