This tab is only available when families of precast elements exist in Revit. If such families do not exist, the tab is not available in the Reinforcement of columns dialog. The families of precast elements may be additionally imported to Revit (Insert > Load from Library > Insert family).
The options in the tab allow for generation of additional elements of the column reinforcement - steel precast elements (mounting parts). The precast elements are steel elements, added to the RC elements of the structure for particular purposes, e.g. in order to reduce the heat loses and the noise reduction.
It is not possible to draw these elements in Autodesk® AutoCAD® Structural Detailing 2015 in the present version of the Extension.
In order to define a precast element in an RC column, follow the steps below:
- from the list of the available faces of an RC element, select the section face of an RC column; the list of available faces depends on the type of column cross-section (rectangular section, T-section, etc.)
- select family of the precast element
- select type of the precast element
- define coordinates of the precast element insertion on the selected face of the element
the coordinates are measured in relation to the left, bottom corner of a face; the positive angle is clockwise
- define properties of a family / precast element type
Click the icons located at the end of the definition of a precast element to open dialogs containing properties of a family or the element type.
