Sending a model to Revit

In order to transfer a Robot model to Revit:
  1. In Robot, click Add-Ins Integration Autodesk Revit Structure. The Integration with Revit Structure dialog opens.
  2. Select Send model to send Robot model only, or Send model and results if you want to send the model and its associated results.
  3. Click Send options.

The Integration with Revit Structure - Send Options dialog opens.

  4. Specify the scope and transfer options, and then click OK.
  5. Click OK to start the transfer.

If you select Send to the intermediate file (.smxx), the Save as dialog displays. Use this dialog to save a file in the intermediate file format (SMXX format).

Note: If you chose to Send model and results, and if results are already available in Robot, the Update Results dialog opens. Specify the necessary names and descriptions, and then click OK.
  6. In the Send Model to Revit Structure dialog, you can view the progress of the transfer (reading data from Robot, creating a Revit model, exporting elements and creating relevant elements in Revit).
  7. After sending the model is completed, the messages or warnings that appeared during the transfer process may display on the screen.
Remarks
The following structure elements are not transferred from Robot to Revit:
  • curved beams and walls
