Dec 4, 2014

There are occasions when Autodesk Inventor may experience installation problems after failed installs or uninstalls of other Autodesk products. In these cases, it is recommended that you completely remove them from the system and then attempt the new installation on the cleaned system.

There are two methods you can use for uninstalling Inventor products:

  1. Automated removal using the Quick Uninstall Tool
  2. Manual uninstallation

Refer to the sections below for an explanation of each method.

Quick Uninstall Tool

To help automate the removal of Inventor you may use the availible Quick Uninstall Tool. If you would prefer to remove Inventor manually, proceed to the next section of this solution.

**Important Notes:

  • The Quick Uninstall Tool is installed with Inventor and can be found in Start>All Programs>Autodesk or Start>All Programs>Autodesk>Factory Design Suite 20xx
  • By default, other products installed with Inventor will be automatically selected for removal. Be sure to uncheck any applications that you would like to keep installed.
