Use Drainage Design for InfraWorks 360 to model watersheds, culverts, and drainage networks. Review and analyze performance of individual drainage structures or sections of a drainage network. Choose pipes and connectors from a default or custom component part catalog, which Drainage Design can share with Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Drainage Design for InfraWorks 360 applies analysis-driven design rules based on industry standards for structure size, material, and placement. For example, Drainage Design Analysis responds to component roads contextual placement, slope, and materials. Analysis of inlet location, tributary area, gutter spread and inlet performance utilizes both the component materials (which may have different runoff coefficients) and cross-slopes to adjust an inlet's placement and slope for best solution in storm conditions.
You can see the key data used for these design rules in-canvas or on the structures' asset card. You can change design decisions to suit your model's needs, making changes either in-canvas, editing properties or data on the structure's asset card, or by selecting different parts from the catalog.
Drainage Design provides a default component part catalog for pipeline connectors (manholes, inlets, outfalls). This catalog is also available in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D. If both applications use parts from this catalog, then, when you bring these objects back into InfraWorks 360 from Civil 3D, InfraWorks 360 can display them with realistic visualization and preserve AutoCAD Civil 3D design work. (The utility type is set automatically for these drainage objects brought into AutoCAD Civil 3D.) For more information, see About Exchanging Data Between AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk InfraWorks 360 in AutoCAD Civil 3D online Help.
Using Project Kameleon (Preview), you can create, publish and post a custom part catalog for use with the Add Pavement Drainage and Sketch Drainage Network tools. A custom catalog posted to a model can be posted also for use in AutoCAD Civil 3D. See the Project Kameleon (Preview) website.
