The CADmep Object Enabler is a free downloadable collaboration utility that enables ObjectDBX host applications (i.e. AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, Volo-View and Navis) to view the enhanced objects from CADmep. It uses ObjectDBX technology to allow object data created in CADmep to be accessed outside its native environment. This provides essential data accessibility for design teams that create and receive drawing files containing CADmep objects.
If an AutoCAD drawing that includes CADmep items is opened on a workstation where CADmep is not installed, users will be prompted by the Proxy Information dialogue as shown below. If this is the case the Object Enabler must be installed and loaded for the items to display.
