Gradient Tab (Hatch and Gradient Dialog Box)

Defines the appearance of the gradient fill to be applied.

List of Options

The following options are displayed.

Color

Specifies whether to fill the hatch boundary with a monochromatic or two-color blend.

One Color

Specifies a fill that uses a smooth transition between a color and a specified tint (the color mixed with white) or between a color and a specified shade (the color mixed with black). (GFCLRSTATE system variable)

Two Color

Specifies a fill that uses a smooth transition between two colors. (GFCLRSTATE system variable)

Color Swatches

Specifies the colors for the gradient fill (either one color or two colors). Click the Browse button [] to display the Select Color dialog box, where you can select an AutoCAD Color Index (ACI) color, true color, or color book color. (GFCLR1 and GFCLR2 system variables)

Shade and Tint Slider

Specifies the tint (the selected color mixed with white) or shade (the selected color mixed with black) of a color to be used for a gradient fill of one color. (GFCLRLUM system variable)

Gradient Patterns

Displays fixed patterns for gradient fills. These patterns include linear sweep, spherical, and parabolic.

Orientation

Specifies the angle of the gradient and whether it is symmetrical.

Centered

Specifies a symmetrical gradient configuration. If this option is not selected, the gradient fill is shifted up and to the left, creating the illusion of a light source to the left of the object. (GFSHIFT system variable)

Angle

Specifies the angle of the gradient fill. The specified angle is relative to the current UCS. This option is independent of the angle specified for hatch patterns. (GFANG system variable)
