Refresh File from Vault with the AutoCAD Vault Add-in

The Refresh From Vault command compares the local file version with the version in the vault.

If the local version is older than the version in the vault, the latest version is copied from the vault to the local working folder and the current drawing is reloaded.

The Update Properties feature is integrated with the vault revision table feature whereby it keeps revision block data synchronized with vault released information. For more information on the revision table feature, refer to the Vault Revision Table section.

AutoCAD and AutoCAD Mechanical

  1. In the External References palette, select a file or multiple files from the File References list.
Note: The selected files must be in the vault to get the latest version.
  2. Right-click and then select Refresh from Vault.

AutoCAD Electrical

  1. In the Project Manager, select a file.
  2. Right-click and then select:
    • Refresh from Vault to get the most recent version of the selected project file.
    • Refresh All From Vault to get the most recent version of the selected project file and all of the related files.

The most recent versions of the selected files are downloaded from the vault. If the working copy of a file is newer than the most recent version of the file in the vault, you are prompted to chose either losing changes made to the current working copy or to not get the latest version of that file.
