Marking Menu Hotfix

This hotfix resolves gesture issue in marking menu.

Description of Problem

Gesture in marking menu does not work well if the product is activated with standalone license.

Affected Products

• Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical 2014

Prerequisite: Please ensure that Service Pack 1.1 for AutoCAD Electrical 2014 is installed before you apply this hotfix.

Installation Instructions

To apply Marking Menu Hotfix

You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft^® Windows^® operating system to complete the installation process.

NOTE: This installation process requires you to modify an installed product, which may cause Windows security warnings to appear. For all Windows security warnings that appear during installation, click Continue.

1. Close all software applications.
2. Start AutoCAD Electrical 2014, execute command ACEB.
3. Verify the product version :
   • If it shows "11.1.1.1", proceed with this installation.
   • If it shows "11.0.57.0" or "11.1.0.9" please install AutoCAD Electrical 2014 SP1.1 before installing this hotfix.
4. Close AutoCAD Electrical 2014.
5. Navigate to the folder where your Autodesk product is installed, for example, C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2014
6. Right-click acad.exe and rename it acad.bak.
7. Download and double-click on Marking Menu Hotfix 32bit.zip or Marking Menu Hotfix 64bit.zip and extract acad.exe to the folder specified in Step 5.
8. Right-click the new acad.exe and select Properties. Confirm that the file version is 25.1.108.5.

To uninstall this Hotfix

1. Delete the new acad.exe file that you downloaded to the folder specified in Step 5.
2. Restore the file you renamed in Step 6 to its original name.
