License error 0.0.0 at startup


When you start a program, you receive a license error 0.0.0 that indicates a valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager.


You may be missing the appropriate license in your license file for the associated product. Whenever you install a new version of software, you need a license for the new product. A prior year's license does not work.


Try the following solutions:

Delete the CascadeInfo.cas file

You can try deleting CascadeInfo.cas file on your client workstation and then launch the program again. The file is in the following locations.

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\AdLM\CascadeInfo.cas
Windows 7:   
If deleting the file doesn’t help,  verify that your network license file contains the product FLEXnet license code for the product, or the cascading product.

Obtain the appropriate license file

You might need to get an appropriate license file for your product and install it on your license server in LMTOOLS.
