Creating an Autodesk ID is your key to accessing several Autodesk websites from one single account. View our most frequently asked questions about logging into and updating your Autodesk account.


What is an Autodesk ID?

Your Autodesk ID is a single sign-in account that enables you to use the same user ID and password to access multiple Autodesk websites. A simplified sign-in process makes remembering and managing your account information easier.

Which websites can I access with my Autodesk ID?

 You can access the following websites with your Autodesk ID:

* Access to this website requires a current Autodesk® Subscription contract.

How do I create an Autodesk ID?

You can create an Autodesk ID from either the Autodesk Account Sign-In page or from the Education Community Sign-In page.

  • Autodesk Account Sign-In page: Click Create an Account and follow the on-screen instructions.

What are the character requirements for my Autodesk ID?

Your Autodesk ID does not have any character requirements.

Your Password must be 8-12 characters and must contain at least 1 letter and 1 number. It cannot contain leading or trailing white space or "{" and "}" characters.

Once I register and create an account, do I need to re-register for each website?

No. Your single sign-in account gives you access to the applicable websites using the same Autodesk ID and password. Your signed-in state is maintained as you navigate among these websites, although the session might time out after periods of inactivity.

Note: Some websites include separate site settings to configure preferences for features and functionality.

I forgot my account access information.

There are a number of remedies when you can't remember information such as your Autodesk ID, password, or the answer to your security question.

I forgot my Autodesk ID.

If you have forgotten your Autodesk ID, you can sign in using the e-mail address you provided during your initial sign up. You will see your User ID under Account Information.

To receive an email with the ID, click "Forgot User ID" on the page you are trying to access.

I forgot my password.

To reset your password, go to the Autodesk Account Sign In page and click Forgot Your Password?

I forgot my both my Autodesk ID and the e-mail used to create my account.

If you forgot your Autodesk ID and you do not know the e-mail address associated with your account, you will have to create a new Autodesk Sign-In Account. You will not be able to access any of the data that was previously saved under your former profile.

Enter your Autodesk ID or e-mail address and click Continue. You'll receive an email with instructions to reset your password.

I tried to reset my password but haven’t received an e-mail.

Some e-mail programs will automatically filter our confirmation e-mails, so be sure to check your Spam or Junk mail folders.

I forgot the answer to my security question.

If you can't remember the answer to your security question, contact us for additional help updating your account information.

I signed in using the temporary password, changed my password, and still can’t sign in.

If you aren’t able to sign in with your new password, wait a few minutes and try again.

How do I change account information?

To change account information such as your password or email address, sign into your Autodesk Account and click Profile from the top menu tab structure.  Click Edit Profile to change your contact or professional information or click Edit Account to change your name, email address, language or password. Your Autodesk ID cannot be changed after it is created.

Does my single sign-in account mean I have an Autodesk Subscription contract?

Not necessarily, but it’s easy to check. Sign in to Subscription Center. When prompted, select Continue and enter your product serial number to verify that your product is on Subscription and you are eligible for a Subscription Center account.

What does “Keep Me Signed In” mean?

Keep Me Signed In is a Subscription-only feature that enables the system to remember your Autodesk ID and password so you don’t have to type it in again. Selecting Keep Me Signed In adds to your desktop a secure browser cookie that is read by each center that you access. This cookie remains on your desktop until you sign out of your account or clear Internet cookies from your computer.

The cookie secures your account data through encryption. Only users with direct access to your computer can use Keep Me Signed In to access your account. Do not select this option if other people use or have access to your computer.


I’m having trouble signing in to the Education Community.

If you have multiple single sign-in accounts, use the one you used to activate your student software. If you don’t remember, try signing in with a different account.

If none of your IDs works, your account might have expired and you may need to register again.
