How to download Arnold updates

Issue:

How and where to access updates and downloads of the Arnold Plug-in for 3ds Max and Maya.

Note: Arnold updates are not included in 3ds Max and Maya, regardless of when the installation occurs. Updates for the Arnold Renderer are published independently of 3ds Max and Maya. 

Solution:

To download the latest Arnold plug-in for 3ds Max and Maya, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Autodesk Account and click Sign In.

  1. Select 'Products and Services' from the menu.

  1. Click 'View details' on a 3ds Max or Maya card.
Click View Details link on desired product to access more updates and downloads
  1. Select a Maya or 3ds Max version.
  2. Select the operating system.
  3. Click Extensions.
Select Product version, OS version, and click extensions to view available updates for Arnold plugin
  1. Select the Arnold plug-in version from the list.
  2. Download the plug-in.

  1. The desired download starts automatically, and will override any preexisting Arnold installation. There is no need to uninstall your previous version of Arnold.
