Revit Server Administrator (2018) is not available

Issue:

When accessing the Revit Server Administrator page for Revit Server 2018, you receive the message “Revit Server Administrator is not available”.
 
Additionally, when  browsing the SVC files will show this error: "Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data.SQLite.DLL' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found."

Causes:

A required 3rd party component “Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable” is not installed.
 
Note: During the installation of Revit Server 2018 (and 2017 v1), this should be installed automatically, but if something blocks this installation you may run into this situation.
 
This can present with various symptoms including the following:
  • "Revit Server Administrator is not available. Contact your administrator, or try again." when accessing server through Revit Server Administrator in a browser.
  • "This operation could not be completed. Please try again." when trying to interact with the server through Revit.

Solution:

  1. Install the 64-bit Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package on the computer on which the instance of Revit Server is installed.
  2. Reboot the computer.
