"Could not find a valid FE Mesh. Please generate FE mesh!" in Nastran In-CAD

Issue:

After clicking analysis, the error message "Could not find a valid FE Mesh. Please generate FE mesh!" appears and will keep repeating indefinitely. 

Environment:

Solidworks

Causes:

It appears to affect Solidworks when the assembly database corrupts.

Solution:

To get out of the loop, end task on SWX in the task manager.

To find the CAD problem:
  • Remove a part from the assembly file.  Test to see if it works with the part removed
  • Continue until the bad part is identified
  • Reassembly the bad part into the assembly
  • Problem should be resolved
