Issue:

How to turn question marks or other cursor badges that display next to the crosshairs Off or On in AutoCAD 2015 with SP1 and newer.

The image below is just a sample badge from the MEASUREGEOM and DIST commands, cursor badges change, depending the active command.

Solution:

Do the following:
  1. Enter the CURSORBADGE system variable into the command line.
  2. Change the value to 1 for Off, or 0 for On. 
  3. Press Enter.
